Panthella V1,V2,V3: find the differences
The Panthella lamp, created by Verner Panton in 1971 in collaboration with Louis Poulsen, is one of the icons of Scandinavian design. Its organic design and glare-free light make it a perfect choice for any environment.
Today, Panthella evolves with the V1, V2 and V3 versions, which maintain the original aesthetics while adding new features and functions that make it even more versatile.
Let's discover them in detail together by analyzing similarities and differences!
Verner Panton and the collaboration with Louis Poulsen
Verner Panton was one of the most innovative and visionary designers of the 20th century. Born in Denmark in 1926, he revolutionized the world of design with his bold use of color, organic shapes and innovative materials.
Panton believed that design should not only be functional, but also emotional and engaging.
The collaboration with Louis Poulsen was therefore one of the most fruitful of his career. The Danish company, renowned for the quality of its lighting and its commitment to design, allowed Panton to bring his vision of light to life.
For this reason, Panthella is the perfect result of this union: a lamp that embodies aesthetics and functionality, with a light distribution designed to be soft and diffuse.
Even today, this lamp represents a point of reference in the world of designer lighting.
Design and features of Panthella
The idea behind Panthella was to create a lamp that distributes light evenly and delicately, without dazzling. This effect is achieved thanks to the design of the lampshade and the base, both designed to reflect the light and spread it harmoniously into the space.
Its fluid shape and trumpet support give the lamp an elegant and timeless look, adapting perfectly to any type of furniture, from classic to contemporary.
The new versions: Panthella V1, V2 and V3
The new versions of Panthella have been developed to meet modern needs, combining aesthetics and advanced functionality. The main innovation of these new versions is portability, which allows them to be used both indoors and outdoors thanks to the battery power supply and certification for humid environments.
In fact, they are characterized by a wireless QI rechargeable base and a USB-C cable, for maximum freedom of positioning.
In addition, all 3 are equipped with an integrated LED source and the brightness can be adjusted via its dimmer (3 levels).
Panthella V1
The Panthella V1 retains the essence of the original model but with some significant improvements, in fact it is its exact replica, but with a smaller size.
With its round lampshade and flared base, the iconic Panthella lamp has a playful and irresistible silhouette, emblematic of the Seventies.
Choose it in the 3 colors black, pink and orange!
Panthella V2
The V2 version stands out for its slightly more contemporary design. The metal variants then reflect the light downwards and provide a pleasant illumination created by the white painted internal finish and the reflection of the trumpet-shaped stem. While the opaline acrylic variants provide a soft lighting and a subtle atmosphere thanks to the transparency and the reflection of the light downwards.
Choose it in the coral, orange, Opal pale pink and Opal pale blue versions.
Panthella V3
The v3 version can be chosen either with a translucent white opal acrylic shade and a white funnel-shaped stem or with a grey opal acrylic shade and a polished chrome funnel.
In 2022, six new shades were introduced: pale blue, pale pink, coral, orange, black and white. These new colour options therefore offer even more freedom to personalise the environment in which the lamp will be placed.
Where to place Panthella and which color to choose
Panthella is an extremely versatile lamp, suitable for different environments and situations. Thanks to its autonomy and the possibility of recharging, it can be easily moved and used wherever you want to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Living room: For a relaxing environment, Panthella in white or gray is perfect, as it diffuses a soft and homogeneous light.
* Bedroom: Pastel shades such as pale pink or pale blue add a delicate and harmonious touch, perfect for an intimate atmosphere.
* Study or office: The black or chrome versions offer a modern and sophisticated look, ideal for a professional environment.
* Outdoors (balconies, terraces, gardens): Thanks to its resistance to humid environments, Panthella can be used outdoors. Bright shades such as coral or orange add a touch of energy and joy.
Why buy Panthella
Choosing a Panthella lamp means investing in a design object that combines aesthetics, functionality and quality of materials. Whether it's a home or work environment, this lamp offers perfect lighting, enriching the space with its unmistakable style.
The possibility of wireless and USB-C charging, combined with the variety of colors available, makes Panthella the ideal solution for those looking for an elegant and practical lamp.
