Terzani was born in the cradle of the Renaissance, in Florence, followed the creative invocations of the city and developed an elegant and sophisticated style that was innovative yet original. His handcrafted products are born out of dialogue with some of the world's most renowned designers, each “light sculpture” incorporating Terzani's traditional methods and modern design innovation.

Terzani has continued to redefine the way luxury lighting is designed and manufactured for more than 50 years. An international leader in the field of lighting, it has always been synonymous with innovation and made in Italy. The unique style that Terzani has established requires the balance of several characteristics; in fact, it uses the most advanced technologies, but also incorporates fine materials traditionally handcrafted by local artisans. Each object/sculpture is designed to be fully integrated, diffusing a fascinating and evocative play of light. In this way it creates a constant interaction between the lamp and the surrounding space. By experimenting with new production methods and forward-thinking ideas, the company has become known for its designs that use sculpture, light, shadow and movement to reshape spaces.

“Luminary Sculptures” are born out of a dialogue with some of the world's most renowned designers. Terzani is proud to collaborate with such talented artists as Dodo Arlsan, Barlas Baylar, Jean-François Crochet, Nicolas Terzani, Nigel Coates, Maurizio Galante, Christian Lava, Studio 14, Draw, Simone Micheli, Franziska Hinze, Stefano Papi & Saviz Yaghmai, and others who have collaborated to make Terzani's style unique.
